No matter how old we are, our moms take care of us, whether it’s a visit when we need it most, a comforting phone call or a homecooked dinner. But on Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 12, we can return the favor to the most important woman in our lives by taking her out in Bethesda for a delicious meal. 

Our area is full of gourmet brunch and dinner spots, many of which can be found just a hop, skip and a jump from our Elm apartments. Here are some of our favorite restaurants for Mother’s Day reservations. 

Duck Duck Goose, located at 7929 Norfolk Ave, Bethesda which is four minutes from your Elm apartment, is a cozy eatery with outdoor seating serving French fare such as dry-aged duck and foie gras.

Duck Duck Goose will add approachable elegance to your Mother’s Day. Modeled after a French brasserie, they offer expertly-prepared cuisine, spanning from classical to modern Parisian influences, all sourced locally and seasonally and featuring bold flavors.

Mon Ami Gabi, located at 7239 Woodmont Ave, Bethesda which is a four minute walk from your Elm apartment, is a charming French bistro highlighting classics such as steak frites and onion soup, plus wine.

On Mother’s Day, Mon Ami Gabi will offer Mother’s Day brunch from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy brunch staples like quiche Lorraine as you celebrate your mom with a mimosa in hand. Then, the restaurant will offer Mother’s Day dinner from 4-9 p.m. Have a magnificent meal with classic dishes like roast chicken a la grand mère alongside salad. End the evening on a sweet note with a lemon sugar cookie, complimentary to all moms.
