Forget the mask and costume and instead, head to these local candy shops – no kids or walking through the city required, and all within a short journey from your Elm apartment. 

Henry’s Sweet Retreat & Bakery, located at 4823 St Elmo Ave, Bethesda which is four minutes from your Elm apartment, is a buzzy candy shop offering cookies, cakes and specialty chocolates, plus ice cream, popcorn and sodas.

Henry’s Sweet Retreat & Bakery is the modern version of a traditional candy store, perfect for anyone from one to 100. Neuhaus Chocolate, located at 7123 Bethesda Ln, Bethesda which is a five minute walk from your Elm apartment, opened in Brussels in 1857. The shop, and its legacy, continues to thrive there today as well as around the world.

For over 100 years ever since Jean Neuhaus Jr. invented the Belgian praline in 1912, all Neuhaus chocolates have been made entirely in Belgium.
