Where To Go Pumpkin Picking Near Your Elm Apartment
Category: FoodWhether you’re five or 50, there’s no activity more necessary during October than pumpkin picking! Even though we live in a bustling area, it’s still easy to escape to the many farms that we have on the outskirts of Bethesda for a fun afternoon pumpkin picking with family or friends.
Check out these farms throughout the region for the perfect way to kick off the fall season – and a perfect pumpkin for displaying at your Elm apartment.
Knightongale Farm Pumpkin Patch, located at 3924 Solomons Island Rd, Harwood which is 45 minutes from your Elm apartment, is a seasonal patch that is only open for five weeks every year – meaning they make sure they pack the fun and activities for families!
In additional to the pumpkin patch and corn maze, they offer face painting, peddle tractors to ride, hay rides, pony rides, petting animals, food and drinks. Visiting this weekend-only patch has become a longstanding tradition for families all over the area.
Miller Farms, located at 10140 Piscataway Rd, Clinton which is 45 minutes from your Elm apartment, is a 267-acre farm that has been family-owned and operated since 1879. They sustainably grow an array of fresh fruits and crisp vegetables and also offer a bakery, handmade ice cream, a nursery, barbecue food, seasonal displays and fall family fun.
Every weekend during the fall, Miller Farms holds its annual fall festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for $15 per person. Admission includes access to a hayride around the farm to see the scarecrows displays, a corn maze, giant slides, a petting zoo, pumpkin picking and more.
