Don’t wait until autumn to head to the farm for pick-your-own fruit – instead, head to one of the many farmstands in the area or one of the farms located right outside of Bethesda for your very own blueberries, as July is the best time to get these delicious berries in our area. 

Take your blueberries home to your Elm kitchen and bake in blueberry pie, blueberry pancakes, blueberry scones and more. We promise – their journey from these farms will be worth the trip to your Elm apartment!

Brookmont Farm Market, located at 6423 Broad Street, Bethesda which is 12 minutes from your Elm apartment, is a full-service farm market and outdoor food hall with food trucks, libations and live music every Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. year-round that is 100% volunteer-led.

Here, enjoy delicious offerings from local farms, including blueberries, as well as fare from international chefs, women-owned businesses and master artisans from here and around the world. Over 40 farmers, chefs, bakers, food trucks, artisans and specialty vendors attend the market every week. 

Bethesda Central Farm Market, located at 7600 Arlington Rd, Bethesda which is a five minute drive from your Elm apartment, was the first of four Central Farm Market locations, which was founded over a decade ago with just 17 vendors. 

Founders Debra and Mitch’s mission is to provide a professionally managed community venue where customers can purchase high quality, locally grown fresh and prepared food, and to support agricultural innovation, green practices and sustainability. The market is open year-round and features table seating, music, local Maryland winery and farm brewery tastings, kids club activities, chef demos and more.
