National Kitten Day is July 10! Here’s Where To Get a Furry Friend
Category: UncategorizedEspecially if you’re working from home at your Elm apartment, there’s nothing like a furry friend to keep you company – especially if it’s one that doesn’t require walks or midnight cries to be let outside! That’s where cats come in, which can be your pet and pal without too much work.
On National Kitten Day on July 10, finally get that kitten you’ve been thinking about by first heading to one of these local animal shelters. Choose either a laid-back cat, a playful cat or a loving cat to fit your lifestyle.
Home At Last Sanctuary, located at 11140 Rockville Pike, Rockville which is 10 minutes from your Elm apartment, is a registered public charity promoting the responsible stewardship of pets by offering assistance in rehoming all types of domestic animals.
Home At Last Sanctuary begins by fostering pets and making sure all medical and behavioral issues are taken care of. Then, they work to match the animal with a family while also providing food, medical care, daily exercise and more so all animals can be at their very best.
Montgomery County Humane Society, located at 601 S Stonestreet Ave, Rockville which is 15 minutes from your Elm apartment, works to end animal homelessness through education, outreach and adoption, while saving lives and supporting the bond between pets and their families.
Adoption here is currently appointment only. So, first check out their website for available animals and then complete an online application for a specific pet. Then, you will be contacted to schedule a visit and hopefully find your forever friend!
